Your Body ~ In Harmony

About The Practitioner

Health and wellness has always been an important part of my life. Massage has been part of my life since participating in sports in my youth. I learned early on the benefits of loosening up tight muscles. After working in the environmental field for about 10 years, I decided it was finally time to follow my passion and become a Licensed Massage Therapist. Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage (OSTM) provided me with incredible training. I was in the first class in their new building at 719 E. Genesee Street in July of 2003. My favorite class was Myology, the study of muscles. It still fascinates me the ingenious way muscles were designed to allow the body to move. The public clinic was also a favorite of mine. It allowed me to use everything I learned on real clients.

To enhance my knowledge and stay up to date on Massage Therapy, I take several continuing education courses every year. Being a Massage Therapist at Spazend for 9 years, in the same building as the massage school, Natur-Tyme and also a Chiropractic office provided me with valuable knowledge and experience as well.

Let my kneads meet your needs ~

When you receive a Therapeutic Massage, I think of it as entering a world of peace, harmony and most importantly ~ relief. Relief from physical tension of sore muscles, aches and pains, as well as mental stress and many other health issues. It’s not just about massaging your muscles. I ask my clients questions about the type of work they do, their lifestyle outside of work and the way they sleep to get a good understanding of what could be causing the pain and discomfort. With this information I know which techniques to use to address the specific needs that their body requires along with stretches and suggestions to alleviate and prevent what is causing the discomfort. What we do, what we eat and what we think affects our overall health.

In addition to my own clients, I also work part-time at Hand in Health Massage Therapy. After 18 years,  I still love being a Massage Therapist! Life is hard sometimes ~ so why not make people's lives easier with a relaxing therapeutic massage!
